A mandate was issued to induct William Rushbrooke to the vicarage of Hoxne on the 4th March 1572/3 on the presentation of Queen Elizabeth I. He had previously been vicar of Norton, Suffolk since 1563.
His wife Hellen died shortly after and was buried at Hoxne on the 17th August 1573.
William was buried on the 22nd May 1585. A Grant of Administration is held at the Norfolk Record Office.
